Over 20 billion disposable diapers end up in landfills each year in the U.S. alone, accounting for 3.5 million tons of waste. That's a lot of dumps dumped in dumps. Disposable diapers are the 3rd highest volume consumer item in landfills, and account for 30% of non bio-degradable waste.
Over the course of two years, a single baby accounts for 2000 pounds of discarded disposable in landfills— a literal ton of toxic waste.

We chose bamboo for three reasons: it's crazy soft, ultra absorbent, and grows extremely fast without the need for chemicals, making it a perfect renewable resource.
Bamboo requires less water to produce compared to trees, and reach maturity 10x faster — bamboo can be harvested after 2-3 years, compared to 20-50 years for trees.
